Smalltalk: Sinus rinse forumula: Two cups warm water (tap water is okay, but you can also use distilled) a heaping teaspoon of salt (non iodized!) 1/4-1/2 tsp baking soda Play around with proportions and temperature and find one that is comfortable for you. Or do what I did and buy premixed packets, they worked out to be $10 for a packgage of 100. Instead of inhaling or squirting the solution in, I prefer to let gravity slowly fill my sinuses and then lean over and let everything flow out and alternating nostrils.

Eyes II: I can see I will have to do more on vision in the future -- too much interesting stuff! Top two causes of blindness according to the World Health Organization: Cataract -- the usually clear lens becomes more opaque Glaucoma -- vision loss and damage to part of the optic nerve, and sometimes increased eye pressure We'll pick up the next three in another podcast, but not next week.

Small Talk:
Discussion on Ravelry http://www.ravelry.com/groups/the-well-knitted-life
Eileen (redsknits) asked about traffic:
Getting around LA Sigalert.com Googlemaps.com AAA Los Angeles Freeway Map I also mention the Thomas Guide, though I don’t really like it
I was mentioned: Knitcents, Knit Naturally, and Knitajourney podcasts. Linked in the Knitting Podcasts blog http://knittingpodcast.blogspot.com/
Taking care of your ears from eardrums in Hearing is a very amazing process that uses a lot of cool body parts, most of which you can’t see. Too much noise will kill hair cells, which don’t grow back, so take care of them! You ears also give you balance and a sense of where you are in space
Good diagram of the inner ear and description of hearing and the dangers of loud sounds here: http://extension.missouri.edu/publications/DisplayPub.aspx?P=g1962
There are also semicircular canals which I will talk about more in the future when I talk about dizziness and balance
Eustachian tube – in the diagram kind of tunnel pointing down and to the right.
Knitting skills!
Beading: Rosemary Hill (designer of knits and pins) does pretty much what I do: http://rosemarygoround.blogspot.com/2010/07/and-she-was.html
Nupps: Myra Wood (Author of Crazy Lace: An artistic approach to Creative Lace Knitting) has a video on how to do Nupps in one row: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GSIzYLbasHY
Thank you, Sally! (fibercrafter on Ravelry)
Or use a big needle to wrap the extra stitches (as I did) ormake some extra knits and yarn overs to create extra space to work the stitches together (as recommended by Laura of Fiber Dreams)
